The Rosarito to Enseneda 50 Mile Fun Bike Ride is a annual event that takes place in Rosarito Baja. This scenic and award winning race takes place two times per year, April and September. The Rosarito Bike Ride attracts cyclists from all around the world. The race is open to all ages and experience levels. The Rosarito Bike Ride starts in Rosarito around the Rosarito Beach Hotel area and travels along the free road known as Mexico Highway 1 to Ensenada. Rosarito Ensenada 50 Mile Fun Bicycle Ride takes you on a 50 mile journey along the Pacific Coast of Baja and inland through rural countryside. There are many stops along the way if you get tired, and there is always a huge party at the finish line in Ensenada.

The Rosarito to Ensenada Bike Ride Elite Start

If you are a serious rider and really are interested in getting a good time, or maybe placing in the Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride, then they offer an "Elite Start". The elite start allows experienced bikers that average at least 17 mph over the course of the event and finishing in less than 3 hours, an opportunity to pay a little extra to start in front of the pack. The extra fee for Elite Status gets you a unique entry number, allowing you entry into the Elite Corral, and a better timing position for the gun start. The Elite start makes the event safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Top riders have finished this event in under 2 hours.

The Rosarito to Ensenada Bike Ride for Everyone Else

The Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride attracts people from all walks of life. You will be amused by the colorful costumes and funny bikes that people create. Some people will ride this race on tandem bikes or even beach cruisers. Along the entire course there are bars and places filled with riders stopping to have a few beers before mounting back on there bikes. It could be said that the Rosarito to Ensenada Bike Ride is a 50 mile party. The race is pretty easy, however it is long. The only hard part is a 2 mile hill called "El Tigre". This is when you wish you did not drink all those beers. El Tigre starts at sea level and climbs over 800 feet in just over 2 miles. This hill seperates the strong from the weak. All along the sides you will see bikers walking, especially the riders that choose to do this event on their beach cruises. Once you get to the top you can relax, because the ride is mostly downhill all the way into Ensenada.

The Rosarito to Ensenada Bike Ride Party in Ensenada

Once you arrive in Ensenada there is a huge party with food from Ensenada's finest restaurants live music and sponsers Corona provide the beers. The Tecate girls are always in full force as well. At the finish line you can get massages, posters, T-shirts and other souvenirs. There is even secure bike storage so you can party without worrying about somebody stealing your bike. The Finish Line Fiesta is located at Plaza Ventana al Mar, on Boulevard Lazaro Cárdenas, under the giant Mexican flag. The official time of the fiesta is 12 noon until sunset, however the bars and nightclubs will be partying until the sun comes up. The finish line party will be packed not only by the 10,000 bikers that entered the race, but there is always spectators, friends and family that join the celebration. It is estimated that over 25,000 people will be at the finish line waiting for the party to start.
